What we believe
- Discovery matters because business visibility shapes where money, attention, and opportunity move.
- Accurate ownership information matters because no business should be labeled by assumption.
- Businesses should control their own listings, corrections, media, categories, and service areas.
- The platform will not identify ownership based on appearance, names, photographs, or demographics.
- National reach and local relevance must work together for discovery to be useful.
How listings get here
- Owners describe their own business, attest to Black ownership, and choose exactly which contact details appear publicly.
- Every listing is reviewed by a person before it publishes, and owners can update or withdraw it at any time.
- Trust labels are never sold. No business can pay for credibility, badges, or placement.
- We never scrape other directories or fabricate listings, counts, or reviews. Empty pages stay honest until real businesses arrive.
