These terms govern use of the BLACK OWNED HERE. discovery directory, accounts, business listing workflow, corrections, contributions, saved businesses, and reviews when those features are enabled. They are a launch draft and must be reviewed by the owner and qualified counsel before broad public intake opens.

Directory role

BLACK OWNED HERE. helps people discover businesses and community organizations. It is not the seller, service provider, employer, licensing authority, insurer, booking agent, or payment processor for listed organizations. Purchases, appointments, delivery, refunds, warranties, and disputes occur through the business or its linked providers.

Accounts and submissions

• Account and listing submitters must be adults and provide accurate, current information they are authorized to submit.
• Business listings may come only from owner submissions, compliant research, partnerships, licensed data, or properly attributed open data.
• BLACK OWNED HERE. does not infer ownership from names, photographs, neighborhoods, or social-media appearance.
• Verification labels describe what was checked and do not guarantee quality, safety, licensing, or customer satisfaction.
• Paid visibility, when introduced in a later phase, must never buy credibility.

Review and moderation

Every listing requires administrative approval before publication. Owners edit drafts; submitted versions remain locked for review, and updates do not replace the current public version before approval. Administrators may request changes, reject, suspend, or remove content to enforce these terms and the listing standards.

Reviews and contributions

If reviews are enabled, signed-in members may publish one honest, first-hand review per business. Fabricated, retaliatory, discriminatory, unlawful, irrelevant, promotional, privacy-invasive, or conflicted reviews may be hidden or removed. Business owners may respond but may not review their own business. Community and news contributions require a source, original wording, and administrative approval before public display.

Prohibited conduct

• Do not impersonate another person or business, submit false ownership claims, or evade moderation.
• Do not upload malware, unlawful material, confidential records, or content you lack permission to use.
• Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or use the service to build a competing directory in violation of law or applicable rights.
• Do not use the service to harass, discriminate, defraud, or endanger another person.

Accuracy and third-party links

Listings can become outdated and verification labels describe only the review actually performed; they do not guarantee ownership beyond that scope, quality, licensing, availability, safety, or customer satisfaction. External websites and booking, ordering, social, or contact tools are controlled by third parties and have their own terms.

Content and service availability

Submitters keep ownership of their content and grant BLACK OWNED HERE. permission to store, review, format, and display approved material for operating and promoting the directory. The service may change, pause, or remove features, and no uninterrupted or error-free operation is promised. Concerns should be sent through the contact form.
